We had dinner in August and I have to say we had a great time. Don't be fooled by the slightly dated atmosphere...the food is genuine. There were seven of us and we spent €150 in total (one dish each, including a starter and main course, five desserts, water, and house wine), and I found the prices quite reasonable. The friendly and kind manager even let us try some dishes we hadn't ordered so that some of us, who were from Abruzzo, could sample some Piedmontese products. The gesture was very much appreciated. The artisanal liqueur offered at the end was the icing on the cake. We'll definitely be back.
A traditional restaurant with quality dishes. I recommend the cheese gnocchi among the first courses. Delicious.
For at least a decade now, we've been frequenting "La Baita" in Sestriere, a welcoming mountain restaurant with a consistently pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Luciano is the host, and the kitchen prepares exquisite traditional dishes and more... Excellent quality at a very fair price. Highly recommended. See you next time! 🥂
The food is excellent, simple but always tasty, in a family-run restaurant. The lard and rosemary agnolotti are excellent!
A place where you can eat really well, with typical dishes and spending the right amount.
A quaint and very cute place, excellent food, and the best meat I've ever had! The owner is incredibly kind and helpful...he even remade the coffee for the person who ordered it and was out smoking, so she wouldn't have to drink it cold! Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
We had a wonderful dinner. We tried the marinated Milanese, the veal bites, the beef tenderloin, and the tagliatelle with ragu… everything was delicious!<br><br>You can tell the food is homemade and prepared with love. What's more, the service was lovely; they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.<br><br>Definitely a place to return to and recommend.
A frosty welcome, bread of hospital-quality quality, €3 for tap water, spaghetti served with a measly spoonful of sauce... In short, we should have left as soon as we walked in, as we suspected. Ciao La Baita
At La Baita restaurant, it's like eating at your grandmother's house. Don't expect flutes to welcome you or round tables with a butler to welcome you, but rather a very homey, colorful, and family-like atmosphere.<br>There were five of us, and each of us ordered something different to try as much as possible from the complex menu, and we all ate wonderfully.<br>The waiter is very friendly, approachable, and joking.<br>We even got to meet the owner, who offered us a special amaro!<br>The price was relatively fair and appropriate for what we ordered.<br>I highly recommend!
Our fav meal in Sestriere! Excellent hosts and lovely local food. You need to book during main holiday weeks, and take € cash for tips! Ask to try the owner’s homemade digestivo 😋

Disrespectful service from the start. Very very rude. The wine prices did not match what was listed.<br>The steak arrived cold and tasted reheated, so we returned the entire order.<br>Not being charged does not excuse the lack of professionalism. Would not recommend.
Very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a disrespectful, superior attitude and rushed when choosing a wine. The menu showed many options, but only a few were actually available, and the prices did not match what was listed.<br>The food was unacceptable — the steak arrived cold and tasted reheated. We had to return the entire order.<br>Even though we were not asked to pay, this does not make up for the lack of professionalism. Not recommended.
