> A remarkable experience: you walk in and immediately feel at home. Between the owner who serves and his brother who works in the kitchen, I'm not sure who engaged us more.\<br\>The menu was certainly high-quality, with local dishes, at a price that, in my opinion, was a bit high. The wine list is excellent.\<br\>I will definitely be back.

> July 11, 2026, I arrive in Casteggio for the beer festival, but the party starts in the evening and then on Sunday. I search Maps for reviews of a restaurant with home-cooked food, fair price/quality... And the result is Leon D'oro, 5-star reviews. Spot on. Real reviews. We ate and drank just the right amount. The entire menu tasted just right. I had the daily menu, all fresh, 5 stars. Marco, the owner, was great and friendly, even with me, even though it was my first time there. To be top-notch, I recommend freshening up the atmosphere. Thank you so much, Marco.

> An excellent family-run restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Oltrepò Pavese cuisine, with a subscription to the best local wines.\<br\>Marco is an exceptional host; he and his family have run this restaurant just outside Casteggio for many years.\<br\>The cured meats and pasta dishes are exceptional and noteworthy.\<br\>I recommend booking a few days in advance.
