A remarkable experience: you walk in and immediately feel at home. Between the owner who serves and his brother who works in the kitchen, I'm not sure who engaged us more.<br>The menu was certainly high-quality, with local dishes, at a price that, in my opinion, was a bit high. The wine list is excellent.<br>I will definitely be back.

By far the best restaurant in the area
July 11, 2026, I arrive in Casteggio for the beer festival, but the party starts in the evening and then on Sunday. I search Maps for reviews of a restaurant with home-cooked food, fair price/quality... And the result is Leon D'oro, 5-star reviews. Spot on. Real reviews. We ate and drank just the right amount. The entire menu tasted just right. I had the daily menu, all fresh, 5 stars. Marco, the owner, was great and friendly, even with me, even though it was my first time there. To be top-notch, I recommend freshening up the atmosphere. Thank you so much, Marco.
What could be better: Maggior chiarezza sulla possibilità di scegliere menù a la carte anziché menu fisso. Chiarezza sul costo del menù e condivisione del menù stesso, che non ci è stato portato al tavolo.
The chef is a character, the dad is also a real forgiveness doc 👍👍👍👍 I recommend him
An excellent family-run restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Oltrepò Pavese cuisine, with a subscription to the best local wines.<br>Marco is an exceptional host; he and his family have run this restaurant just outside Casteggio for many years.<br>The cured meats and pasta dishes are exceptional and noteworthy.<br>I recommend booking a few days in advance.

Optimal
A typical Italian restaurant, you eat what's on hand, a country atmosphere, a treasure off the tourist trail, really very good, homemade dishes.
Everything was perfect: quality local wines, food (the charcuterie boards shortened my life by 10 years, but made it worth living). Exceptional owners, with heart, taste, education, and friendliness. I'll be back as soon as I can. KAIMANO!!
€50 + €28 for wine is really too much. I'll start by saying I don't like the set menu.
