We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. We already knew this place for their pizza, which we'd loved, so we decided to have lunch there, expecting to have another great, delicious experience. That wasn't the case. There was a very long wait to be seated, and our request for a lake view table, which we'd made when we booked online, was ignored. The service was inattentive, rushed, and impersonal. Everyone was in a rush to get through the crowds! We ordered appetizers, first courses, and two pizzas. The appetizers, such as the crostone with Bra sausage and the parmesan cheese doner à douri, weren't presented as per the menu, but rather a coarse crostone with sausage mashed on top and a sort of parmesan wafer! We hadn't even finished the appetizers when they brought us the first courses, but they didn't deliver the pizzas promptly, so while we waited for the pizzas, the first courses also got cold. The quality wasn't noteworthy, and the value for money was absolutely disproportionate. You pay for the location which is only worth it when you are out in the summer seasons.
A truly unpleasant welcome. As soon as we entered, the person at the cash register aggressively repeated, "That's not a parking lot," attributing to us a car parked in front of the restaurant entrance. Ours, however, was legally parked in the blue-lined lot; the other belonged to a customer who had come to pick up a takeout pizza. But politely asking if that was our car, right? Once the misunderstanding was cleared up, we didn't even receive an apology: we were simply told where to go for lunch.<br><br>The food was average and the view was beautiful, but such a welcome leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Mistakes happen; the aggressive and rude tone of the person and the lack of apology are what disappointed us and ruined our meal.
A great location for an aperitif or a meal with an exceptional view of Lake Maggiore! Excellent service!
We had dinner this evening and had a great time. The welcome was excellent, the service excellent, and the food was good. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.
A very beautiful location, the food was truly good. It was a shame about the service, not so much the waiters, who were friendly anyway, but the rude owners and the way they treated us. There were quite a few people there, including children, and they didn't even give us time to get settled before they were already itching to send us away.

Wonderful view of Lake Maggiore, gluten free pizza too, friendly and very kind staff, a must stop if you pass by those parts

My wife and I met up with some friends for a drink at this place a few weeks ago. Let me preface this: the view of the lake from the place is breathtaking, the drinks are quite good, and the aperitivo was okay (there are definitely better ones in the area). The big problem for us was the service. Since my wife was pregnant, she ordered a non-alcoholic drink. After a few minutes, the waitress came and brought the drinks. When my wife asked if her drink was truly non-alcoholic, she replied yes. She asked again, and the waitress again said yes. My wife then started drinking it, when a few minutes later the waitress returned and said she'd made a mistake: sorry, but these kinds of mistakes just can't happen in a restaurant! Last but not least, we went to the cashier to pay, and not only was the drink included in the bill, but a small bottle of water had also been added to the bill, which my wife had requested to "wash away" the alcohol she'd consumed. When I asked for clarification about the presence of the bottle of water on the bill, I was asked if I wanted the two euros it cost refunded (we only noticed the bottle was there after paying the bill)... throughout all this, not even an apology. We definitely won't be returning to this place: beyond the mistake, we didn't appreciate the arrogance displayed at the end.
Wonderful lake view. Good pizza, average food. Fairly quick service. A bit pricey, with the €3.50 cover charge for the view.
Today we were at Terrazza Paradiso again, and I can only confirm how much I've always enjoyed my stay here. The staff is truly exquisite and attentive to every detail, the quality of the ingredients shines through in the dishes, and the atmosphere is magical.
Beautiful place, but disorganized staff to say the least. I booked a table on the terrace for four people in the afternoon for the evening. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, we were told there were no reservations. The gentleman who welcomed us looked at us almost as if we were making fun of him, and then invited us to wait outside for 10 minutes. We were told that the seats outside were sold out. At that point, any table would have been fine, given that it took us an hour to get there, so we wouldn't have gone back, so we settled for that. As we reached our table, another waitress told us that there was space outside, and we just had to wait two minutes for the tables to be pushed together. What can I say? The food wasn't even the best, and no one apologized to us at all... we definitely won't be returning.
