An excellent experience, although due to gluten, I couldn't appreciate their signature pizza.<br>I was invited to a birthday party, and the owner was aware of my gluten intolerance and offered me a shrimp cocktail and a huge plate of bresaola, arugula, and parmesan, all accompanied by gluten-free bread and breadsticks.<br>The welcome and service were top-notch.
This week's gastronomic investigation takes Watson and I to the Il Bianco e il Nero pizzeria in Maiorca on Via Pontida in Novara. We booked online for 7:15 pm, and this time we weren't happy with the choice. This pizzeria focuses heavily on takeout and home delivery, which are generally done early in the evening; this, combined with the fact that they only have one oven, penalizes diners in terms of service times. However, the place is well-kept, and the single waitress is courteous and attentive to the needs of the customers. We order a Margherita with fresh basil added after cooking (€8.00) and a Salerno-Reggio Calabria (with buffalo mozzarella, broccoli rabe, and n'duja for €15.00). With one medium Messina Cristali di Sale beer and one Messina Vivace, both on tap, and two coffees, we spend €47.00 for two.<br>The pizzas, although a little burnt on the edge, are excellent, even though the pizza chef doesn't use a perforated pizza peel. Overall, a good experience, worth trying after 8:00 PM if you decide to eat your pizza in the dining room. By the way: here you'll only find pizzas and desserts, nothing else. Enjoy the pizza!
This isn't meant to be a polemical analysis, but simply a constructive feedback.<br>I may have been unlucky, but I was expecting something different...<br>I tried the marinara and personally found it a bit cloying, probably due to the rather pronounced presence of San Marzano tomatoes, which to my taste had a very fresh/raw tomato flavor, almost like fresh out of the can.<br>This element ended up significantly impacting the overall taste and even my digestion.<br>That said, I'll definitely be back to try other pizzas that I saw look really inviting.<br>I'm curious to have a different experience.<br>Otherwise, I have to say, the place is nice, clean, and the staff is very friendly.
The best pizza in Novara! You absolutely have to try it!
First visit to this pizzeria: a welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere, friendly, professional staff, and attentive to the individual needs of their customers. The pizza is excellent—hearty yet light, with top-quality ingredients. A truly pleasant discovery that definitely deserves a second visit.
For a first experience, I'd say it was excellent.<br>The atmosphere was clean and tidy, the service was very attentive, and the welcome appetizer was very good.<br>The pizzas were delicious, flavorful but not salty (despite being very rich, we didn't drink excessively, as often happens). They were nice and large, thin, with the right amount of crust. The Kosker, one of the pizzas we ordered, was really good, and the spiciness was more than appreciable without being excessive. I recommend it! The dough was good, easy to digest, and not bloated. I also had a dessert that was really good: the lemon mousse with custard.<br>The staff was kind, helpful, and professional.<br>We'll definitely be back. Thank you!
We waited a long time (45 minutes) for two pizzas at the table. There were only three tables in the restaurant with eight people. Takeout is definitely given priority. Meh.
We ate well but the prices were too high.
Beyond all expectations. I'll be back.
The most worst pezzaria
Very good pizza, I had it fried, it was fantastic, not greasy
We were just passing through, but I'd definitely go back! The place was clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly, and last but not least, the food was delicious.
Now that I know it, it has become my go-to pizzeria.
