4.5/5 stars for us. Views of the lake are incredible, staff is very kind, beds were comfortable. Location is great in being directly next to ferry station and across from bus stop. Our complaint is that it is quite loud because it is directly adjacent to the main road. The cars/motorcycles here are very loud and it’s not very relaxing hearing a motorcycle racing by. The weekend was really bad, but it wasn’t as bad during the week. The noise does go down significantly in the evenings so it didn’t disrupt our sleep. Overall really enjoyed our stay! Restaurant is great as well.

However, for Villa Belvedere, the road is situated behind the property, so you never have to cross it to access the lake. stopped at this restaurant for lunch, hoping to enjoy a delicious meal on the beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. I ordered seafood, while my sister chose a steak.<br><br>Unfortunately, the food we received didn’t look very appetizing from the start. The octopus was rubbery and so tough that I could barely cut it. The fish was tasteless, and the prawns were burnt and seasoned so badly that they were simply inedible.<br><br>Sadly, it was a huge disappointment, especially considering the beautiful location and the expectations we had for our meal.

The hotel rooms facing the lake are amazing.<br><br>Superb view of Lake Como.<br><br>Sure, the hotel looks a bit dated in some places, but it still retains the charm of a villa and isn't comparable to a new hotel, where I'd end up paying three times as much.<br><br>The price per night is absolutely justified.<br><br>The hotel room is a bit small but has everything you need, as does the breakfast – everything you could want was there except for bread rolls.<br><br>All the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

Magical place right on the edge of Lake Como

We stayed at this beautiful property for our wedding and couldn't have made a better choice. We spent truly special days with our family and guests, and were welcomed with great professionalism by Jean-Christophe and the entire staff.<br><br>The property is in a wonderful location, and the atmosphere was perfect for kicking off the celebrations with a welcome drink with our guests.<br><br>A special thank you to the entire team for their helpfulness, attention, and care. We will definitely be back, even just for dinner or an aperitif when we're back in Argegno!

Very disappointed with the breakfast and especially with the lack of transparency.<br><br>There were three of us, and we paid €15 per person for breakfast, totaling €45. When we were serving ourselves at the buffet, I was offered an Americano. I naturally accepted, thinking it was included in the breakfast price. I ended up having three in total.<br><br>When it came time to pay, I paid an additional €9 by credit card, initially thinking it was the tourist tax. It was only when I looked at the bill that I discovered the three small coffees were charged at €3 each, IN ADDITION to the €15 breakfast.<br><br>The result: €54 for three breakfasts, with the coffees charged separately, without anyone ever mentioning that they were extra.<br><br>When a coffee is spontaneously offered to you while you're helping yourself at the breakfast buffet, it seems perfectly reasonable to assume it's included. They should have simply said, "Coffee is an extra €3."<br><br>In a hotel of this category, I find this lack of transparency particularly regrettable and the practice frankly petty.<br><br>It's a shame, because the hotel is very pleasant, but ending the stay with this kind of unpleasant surprise inevitably leaves a very negative impression.<br><br>UPDATE FOLLOWING MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSE<br><br>I initially just wanted to point out what I noticed on the receipt I was given: after paying €54 for three breakfasts, I saw three coffees listed on the receipt at €3 each, totaling €9. Unfortunately, I no longer have this receipt and am therefore unable to provide it.<br><br>Management claims that the €9 corresponded to the tourist tax and that the coffees were included. I understand that explanation. Perhaps there was simply a mistake in the description or the charge on the receipt I was given. Nevertheless, I maintain that I didn't invent what I saw.<br><br>But ultimately, the most disappointing aspect of this experience isn't even the €9 charge.<br><br>It's the way management chose to respond publicly to a customer, notably with this statement: "The calculation is simple; a primary school student could easily do it."<br><br>I leave it to everyone to judge the elegance and professionalism of such a response from the management of a hotel establishment.<br><br>A customer can make a mistake. An establishment can also make a billing or description error. In both cases, a few polite words are usually enough to resolve a misunderstanding. Publicly humiliating a customer by questioning their ability to perform basic addition is a much more revealing choice.<br><br>I want to clarify that I don't usually post negative reviews, and I even emphasized that the villa was very pleasant. I had no reason to fabricate a story over €9.<br><br>I would gladly have retracted my initial comment if things had simply been explained to me respectfully. Unfortunately, the management's response and condescending tone transformed a simple disagreement over a bill into a very poor customer experience.<br><br>Future guests can read the management's response just below and form their own opinion.

Les cafés américains sont inclus et vous pouvez en boire autant que vous le désirez. <br>Le calcul est simple, un élève de primaire y arriverait facilement, comme les lecteurs de votre revue le feront. Comme vous le dites-vous même, vous avez payé 54 € pour trois petits déjeuners (3x€15,00 = €45,00) et comme vous le pensiez, pour la taxe de séjour pour 3 de (3x3€ = €9,00), où trouvez-vous que vous avez payé en plus pour vos cafés? Si cela avez été le cas vous auriez dû payer €63,00…<br>Il est évident qu'il ne peut pas en être autrement parce que je n'ose imaginer le nombre de revues que nous aurions sur ce thème. If you’re looking for a lake-view room but do not want to break your bank, this hotel might be the choice. We have seen unforgettable sunrise over the lake from our room. The location is great as it is very close to the bus stop and the pier. The staff are very helpful as well. The room is a bit dated but overall acceptable.

It s the second time in this hôtel (last time it was Exactly 4 years ago) in between +40% increase in Price (suite the belvedere)<br>Room is dated, the bed is hard.<br>Furniture are really old more than « nicely made to be authentic ». It really needs to be re think and renew.<br>The AC was not Working well (not enough cold) bad luck.<br>The suite has a wonderful terrace where you can see the lake and rest, superbe !<br>A Little bit noisy due to the road at 3 m.<br>The view is just breathtaking !<br>Breakfast is ok .<br>No fresh orange juice, just an industrial one.<br>Choice of coffee is poor (expresso forte, expresso roast and vanilla) for the morning not very convenient.<br>The keys is a real mess<br>One key for the room<br>One key for the terrace<br>One key for the pedestrian gate<br>One key for the hôtel (door close at 22:30)<br>If you go out for dinner with your car.<br>After 22:30 you have to leave your car outside :( Because they close the Gates.<br><br>We stayed 2 nights it was ok but not waouh.<br>When you have a +40% increase in Price,you expect something more…much more.<br>The quality for the money is bad now.<br>It s a pity because the view is amazing.<br><br>Service is ok, personnel is kind and helpful.<br><br>The restaurant is good. Not too pricey and a vast choice of wine.<br><br>I don t think I will come back before they made a vast reform of this hotel.
Gentile Claude,<br><br>Merci d'avoir séjourné à la Villa Belvedere et de partager votre expérience et vos photos.<br><br>Nous sommes ravis de lire que vous avez comme toujours apprécié la vue imprenable depuis notre Suite Junior Belvedere et notre restaurant.<br><br>Les chambres sont climatisées dans le respect de l'environnement, grâce à la technologie utilisée et en respectant la limite de 10 degrés en dessous de la température extérieure. Face aux enjeux environnementaux actuels, nous pensons qu'il est essentiel d'investir dans une activité toujours plus respectueuse de l'environnement, même si cela implique de recevoir des commentaires négatifs concernant des températures jugées trop hautes en été ou trop basses en hiver !<br><br>Je vous laisse votre appréciation sur la décoration de la chambre que je ne me permettrai pas de juger. Cependant, je ne changerai pas le mobilier, qui fait partie intégrante du patrimoine de la Villa.<br><br>Pour la Suite Junior Belvedere, cette année, nous avons remplacé les fenêtres et les volets, le meuble-lavabo de la salle de bain et amélioré la couverture Wi-Fi pour une meilleure expérience avec la Smart TV. Ce n'est peut-être pas suffisant, mais nous travaillons chaque année et faisons tout notre possible pour ameliorer la qualitè de notre accueil !<br><br>Au petit-déjeuner, nos clients peuvent choisir entre la machine Nespresso en libre-service ou demander un café italien traditionnel servi à leur table, peu d'hotels 3 étoiles proposent ce choix en Italie!<br><br>Malheureusement, les prix augmentent, même pour nous qui vivons au bord du lac. Une chambre avec terrasse donnant directement sur le lac ne se vend plus désormais à moins de 1 000 € dans les nouveaux hôtels 4 étoiles ce qui poussent le marchè à la hausse: A la Villa où nous offrons une des plus belles vues et un service 3 étoiles elle coûte en moyenne entre 400 et 450 €. Vous vous avez payè €395/nuit à la Villa, ce que vous avez payè en plus est allè à votre site de reservation!<br><br>Je laisse le soin à un autre voyageur, qui, comme vous, a séjourné dans la Suite Junior quelques jours auparavant, de conclure, avec un commentaire qui a autant de valeur que le vôtre : « De loin l'hôtel offrant le meilleur rapport qualité-prix à Côme : une vue imprenable sur le lac depuis les chambres et la terrasse, un personnel accueillant et serviable, une terrasse privée avec ponton de baignade, et un parking sécurisé fermé la nuit. »<br><br>Toute mon équipe se joint à moi pour vous souhaiter toujours le meilleur et espère que vous trouverez votre nouveau lieu de prédilection sur le lac de Côme.<br>Distinti saluti<br><br>Jean-Christophe

The hotel is situated on the lake shore, with a beautiful view!<br><br>Clean large rooms, some with lake view. It has a restaurant, small private "beach" and a pier you can swim from.<br><br>Staff is friendly and good service.<br>Paid parking on the hotel ground for 10€ per day.

A great place to stay on Lake Como, with an unbeatable location right on the lakeshore. The biggest highlight of the hotel is definitely the view — the panorama of the lake and the surrounding mountains is absolutely priceless and makes the stay truly special.<br><br>The room itself was a bit basic, with no fridge, but it was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. The service was bit slow ans somewhat cold and not as warm as we experienced in other places in Italy, but got the job done.<br><br>The hotel offers on-site parking, which is very convenient, although it is paid even for hotel guests. One strange and disappointing detail is that the parking closes at 10 PM. If you plan to arrive later, you will need to find parking on the street or use a nearby public parking facility, which can be challenging in the area.<br><br>The breakfast, however, was a real highlight. There is a great variety of options, and having breakfast on the restaurant terrace with the fantastic lake view is a wonderful way to start the day.<br><br>We did not try the restaurant for dinner, as the prices seemed excessively high compared to other options available nearby.<br><br>Overall, a good choice for experiencing Lake Como, especially if you value an amazing location and breathtaking views over luxury room facilities or exceptional service.
