As a native of Bari, I've rediscovered the true flavors of my homeland!!!
And not the usual touristy deli that's only Apulian in name!!!
Friendliness, kindness, and professionalism are the icing on the cake!!!

Very good, very kind, down to earth, great workers!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Full speed ahead, in this rotten world, we need people like you, to light the way!!! 🍾🥂🍾🥂🍾🥂🍾

Francesco Altomonte's BariCentro is a focacceria, bakery, and pastry shop specializing in Apulian products in the center of Falconara Marittima (AN).

It offers a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes: focaccia, pasticciotti, panzerotti, taralli, bread, pizza (both sliced and plated), arancini, and more, as well as various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, such as Coke, tea, beer, and wine.

The establishment is small, clean, and modernly furnished. You can dine in or order takeout.

Parking in the immediate vicinity is unfortunately limited and often occupied.

The owner and staff are very kind, friendly, and helpful. Upon request, they can prepare one or more dishes on the spot, or you can reserve in advance, depending on the situation. We stopped by twice:

The first time, we were passing through and ordered three pasticciotti, one chocolate, one classic black cherry and cherry, and one almond, all generously filled and larger than average. We also had two freshly made focaccias: one with just tomatoes and the other with tomatoes and olives, both truly delicious. Three panzerotti: one with tomato, one with tomato and mozzarella, and one with tomato, mozzarella, and cooked ham, all generously filled and large!

The second time, we ordered four takeout pizzas: one with fries, one with sausage, one with four cheeses, and one with a capricciosa. They had a soft, lard-free dough and were quite digestible, although the four cheeses were a bit undercooked.

The quality-price ratio is good, and the food is truly prepared according to Apulian tradition. We'd love to return if we're ever in the area again!

I had a train transfer in Falconara, and while I waited, I stopped by this place, drawn by the excellent reviews. I must say, my expectations were far exceeded!
The food was truly excellent and delicious, but the real highlight was the staff: I chatted with the girl at the counter and the owner, and there are very few people this kind and so warm in the world.
If I ever find myself in the area again, I will definitely return. Thank you again for your warm welcome and for the wonderful words!

Negative!!! He practically insulted me in front of other customers because I asked if he'd prefer to pay €1.50 by debit card or €50 on paper.

This place deserves much more than 5 stars! The food is so authentic, it will instantly transport you to Puglia. I've attached a photo of the classic focaccia from Bari, simply delicious! I highly recommend this place not only for the incredible flavors, but also for the fair prices and incredibly friendly staff. The owner is a fourth-generation baker, so you can expect high-quality products. From taralli to focaccia to mozzarella in carrozza, you'll feel like you're right in BariCentro. Definitely worth a try!

It deserves 10 stars for the food!
I discovered this little gem thanks to ItaliaFoodMarche, and as someone who's almost from Puglia and craving authentic flavors, I couldn't help but try it. The quality of the offerings is simply exceptional and lives up to every expectation.
The fried panzerotto is a true delight: the tomato and mozzarella filling is generous enough to slide right out with every bite, just like the real thing. The puccia is also excellent: incredibly flavorful, generously sized, and completely customizable with your favorite ingredients.
The classic focaccia with cherry tomatoes is equally delicious: soft, light, and never too greasy, it's perfect any time of day. To end the day on a high note (or to start the day off right), the pasticciotti are a must: packed with cream, chocolate, or jam, they're a true treat for the palate.
If I ever find myself in the area again, this will definitely be my first stop.
