My family and I had dinner here tonight, and we were very happy with both the service and the food. If you want to try homemade-style Italian pasta and pizza, I highly recommend this restaurant! I personally think it offers great food at very reasonable prices. Lastly, I’d like to say thank you once again to our waiter for providing such excellent service!
After ordering, we waited 30 minutes. Then a waiter came and informed us that one of the dishes couldn't be prepared. We waited another 30 minutes before one of the waiters even noticed that we hadn't received our food. After another 10 minutes, the food arrived:<br><br>The lasagna was completely unsalted, and the pici with zucchini and carrots (alla Nonna) was of the quality of bad cafeteria food.<br><br>We were very disappointed with the quality.
If there had been a zero-star option, I would have!<br>I booked through TheFork to celebrate my partner's birthday since we were in Siena.<br>We ordered a platter for two, pici all'aglione, and a Florentine steak with 🤡 baked potatoes.<br>The platter was quite large and quite good, but from then on, nothing.<br>After a full hour of waiting, the waiter informed us that the Florentine steak was sold out, very strange for a Saturday night...<br>After consulting the menu, I asked for a pizza primavera and a second bottle of water, which was never brought. The waiter also asked us if we wanted to split the pizza, but I pointed out that my partner was still waiting for the pici all'aglione after an hour and a half!!!<br>At one point, I asked my partner if she was still hungry since my stomach was tight, and she'd lost her appetite too, so I told them I was leaving, but no one showed up with the bill.<br>Another surprise: when I went to the cashier, a guy asked when his Fiorentina steak would arrive and was told it would be arriving soon!!!<br>When they gave me the bill, the Fiorentina steak and the side dish had been removed. I asked them to remove the pizza, but it still had the famous pici all'aglione, which had never been brought, and the second water, which had also never been received!!!<br>Also, considering the embarrassment, I would have expected a small discount. For example, the bill was €23.50, so I would have expected to pay €20 as an apology, not even a gesture!!!<br>When we left, they said goodbye to me, and I said definitely not!!!
Excellent osteria with fabulous Chianti stew. Friendly and helpful staff. Well done.
Osteria pizzeria alley!!!! There were three of us. One pizza had ketchup instead of tomato. Another was very salty, and the tripe arrived half an hour later, despite several requests. We didn't make it...
Probably the worst restaurant experience I've had. Very poor food this was supposed to be a green salad , terrible veal . They asked us whether the food was ok, when we said it was bad we had a very Aggressive manager. It was very unprofessional and they were rude not conciliatory<br>When we paid they called us 'stolido' in Italian (Foolish Nitwit). Full of school trips, crap.
Large group, small space, but they accommodated us very well. For starters, a cold cuts platter, very complete and tasty. I took a picture when I had already eaten half of it… haha. The main course was good but not good enough to deserve a 5. I understand the difficulty in serving tour groups, but the staff made an effort. The place is somewhat hidden in Siena, actually really good for tour groups.

I went to this restaurant in Siena today and had a really great time! The food is delicious, with excellent quality. The staff is kind, friendly, and always available, and the atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, where you immediately feel at ease. The value for money is also excellent.<br>A highly recommended place, where you can eat well and feel right at home! I'll definitely be back!
We booked through The Fork and ate very well. Fast service and a friendly waiter. The dishes were very satisfying, and the price was reasonable for what we ate.

Friendly waiter, but terrible food and rude staff at checkout<br><br>We ate at Osteria Pizzeria Il Vicolo and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The carbonara had no flavor and the pizzas tasted like cheap frozen store-bought ones. The value for money is very poor. The waiter tried his best and was kind, which was the only positive thing.<br><br>To make matters worse, the cashier charged us for water we never ordered. Although she refunded the money after we pointed it out, she was very rude and clearly annoyed. We cannot recommend this place.
The main problem is the quality of the food, which is decidedly poor. We had a tough, greasy Florentine steak. Not recommended.
