Excellent location for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
A wonderful day in the Castelli Romani!
We stayed at Tenuta Colle del'Acero with our friends and their little ones (my daughter's great friends) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a carefree get-together.
The food is the real highlight: everything is homemade and authentic, from the fresh, hand-rolled pasta dishes to the artisanal desserts. The staff was cheerful, attentive, and extremely helpful, even with the youngsters in tow. A flawless experience that we will definitely repeat!
When the experience exceeds expectations!
Congratulations on organizing such a complex event with so many activities, all with attention to detail.
We ate at the restaurant, which was delicious, and we took the opportunity to do some shopping for locally sourced products.
Well done!
We celebrated my son's birthday in the evening with the whole family. The appetizers and pizzas were delicious, and the staff was always attentive and ready to help. It almost felt like being at home, eating in the garden. The atmosphere was great, relaxed, and thanks to the fenced-in grassy playground, my kids were able to play and meet the many other kids at other tables. Everyone had a great time; the cake and sparkling wine were excellent, thanks especially to Yuri for his professionalism. Highly recommended, we'll be back.
This isn't the first time we've chosen Colle dell'Acero, both for the restaurant and the picnic area with barbecue. This place always proves to be a welcome escape from the daily grind. It's a well-maintained and well-maintained place. Suitable for families and children. On Saturday, we recommended the restaurant to some friends from Rome with their children for lunch. I won't list the dishes, but we enjoyed both the first courses and the grilled meat in the middle of the table, and to finish, the desserts were more than delicious. The price was substantial, but the two mixed grills in the middle really raised the bar, since we hadn't noticed the tasting menu. However, given how satisfied we were, we promised ourselves we'd return for both the pizza and the tasting menu. So, a success on all fronts. I'd just recommend considering a better outdoor seating area, as the chairs on the bumpy ground are wobbly and uncomfortable. Where we sat, the sun reached our backs and heads, and eating in the heat behind us forced us to move tables ourselves to find shade. All in all, a wonderful experience, definitely worth repeating.
I've been frequenting this restaurant for years, mostly for the location. The food has always been quite good, the service never excellent but acceptable. I think everything was in a steady decline, as confirmed by yesterday's lunch experience. We were traveling with three small children, and despite repeated requests, our order was placed almost 45 minutes after we sat down. Despite asking for the children's dishes to be served first, our appetizer arrived after 1 hour and 15 minutes, followed by the exhausted children's pasta after 1 hour and 45 minutes. All this without ever the slightest apology or demonstration. In these cases, even the famous complimentary coffee or liqueur, however insignificant financially for both the restaurant owner and the customer, helps them digest what happened. The portions are getting smaller and smaller, and the prices are rising. At the cashier, the whole thing was pointed out, and they were simply dismissed with a "yeah, we know, we were really busy today." Obviously, they lost 7 customers.
We've been going there for years! The fruit and vegetables at the market are excellent. Picnic area with fire pits and tables, where you can stay with huge groups of friends and family until the evening. A great refuge for hot summers!
It's a beautiful place that you absolutely must visit
Terrible experience. There's no air conditioning. Only two fans, which are useless given the large space. It's important to understand that air conditioning isn't an option in August. Very slow service.
