We had lunch at this charming restaurant, with a breathtaking view of the rooftops of Geraci and the Madonie mountains. The owner welcomed us with great kindness and proved to be a very friendly and tasteful person. The dishes, made with excellent, mostly locally sourced ingredients, were expertly prepared by Chef Ivan, impeccably and with great imagination, respecting seasonality. What can I say... we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

A perfect blend of refined elegance, hospitality, and a celebration of the local area. This splendid restaurant, expertly restored from an old carpenter's home, enchanted us from the first moment. Simple yet meticulously crafted dishes, prepared exclusively with fresh, seasonal ingredients deeply rooted in the Madonie region, were served by the owner, who welcomed us with great kindness and warmth. The icing on the cake? The stunning panoramic terrace: dining while admiring the sunset over the mountains is a truly priceless experience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

We had lunch at Yerax before visiting the village, and between the delicious food and the local anecdotes, we were pleasantly surprised. A charming location, friendly service, and excellent combinations of local ingredients. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ — 4.5/5<br>In the heart of Geraci Siculo, a charming and meticulously maintained village, we discovered Yerax – Il Bel Mangiare for lunch for two.<br>We had booked almost last minute and were greeted with a hospitality that struck me from the start. It was very hot, and once we arrived, I asked if it was possible to set a table outside: no problem. The owner immediately took care of it and seated us outside, then attentively accompanied us throughout the lunch.<br>And it's precisely the hospitality that is one of the things I will remember most about Yerax: almost the feeling of being invited to eat at the owner's home.<br>We started with a tasting of appetizers, all very good, but with a couple of options that deserve special mention.<br>The most surprising was definitely a salted raw meat served on a watermelon base. A combination that might seem intriguing on paper, but in the end, it worked really well.<br>The cheese-filled eggplant parmigiana was also very good.<br>For my first course, I chose a fusillone with zucchini pesto and crispy bacon. The crunch of the bacon gave the dish that extra something: truly exceptional.<br>From the other side of the table, a second course arrived, consisting of a sampling of various local meats: again, very high quality and a truly convincing result.<br>Overall, we ate very well, with a quality-price ratio that I consider excellent.<br>As for the location, I would make a distinction. Personally, the interior wasn't the element that made me say "wow." Outside, however, the experience is different: the terrace, with its view of the village and the surrounding landscape, was decidedly pleasant, and we were happy we chose to dine outside.<br>But, beyond the location, it was above all the hospitality, welcome, service, and quality of the cuisine that defined our experience.<br>☕ MrEspresso88's take<br>There are restaurants where you remember a dish, and others where you also remember how you were welcomed. Yerax belongs to the latter category.<br>The owner's helpfulness, from setting up a table outside at our request to his attentive service throughout the meal, gave the experience that special feeling of being a guest in his home. Quando si ha la fortuna di avere ospiti cosi, i ruoli cliente-gestore non hanno piu senso. <br>Diventa un incontro di empatia di scambio di opinioni di quelle chiacchierate che si fanno tra amici navigati.<br>Eppure era la prima volta che il nostro ospite veniva a trovarci da Yerax.<br>Direi che la bellezza di questo, impegnativo, ma bel lavoro sta proprio in questi incontri.<br>Grazie del gentile riscontro e alla prossima.<br>
We stopped in the village without knowing where we would have lunch. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and our meal turned out to be an excellent culinary experience. Everything is homemade, using local produce, by the very friendly chef, who personally serves his refined dishes. The menu is set but very well-crafted. A flawless experience at this beautiful establishment perched in the mountains of the Madonie Park. Thank you to the chef for his warm welcome. This meal at his restaurant will remain one of the best memories of our stay in Cefalù.
I went with my wife to this amazing restaurant 3 nights ago . I could not have had a better time. The service was beyond friendly and the food and wine amazing. We had the tasting menu (an extraordinary hot cheese dish, pasta with peas and veal tartare inter alia) and took excellent advice from the owner on some yummy Sicilian wines. I could not recommend it more highly.
This visit is well worth it! After a short stroll through the narrow streets of the unassuming, well-populated, and very clean little village, we unexpectedly enjoyed a delicious and exciting surprise menu. A delightful journey through the culinary garden of Sicily!
Four of us dined here in mid-May and the entire experience was marvelous. Our host, the chef, the quality of the food and it's beautiful presentation were all superb. My only question is where were all the other diners as we nearly had the restaurant to ourselves. Spread the word, this is the place for a great meal!

The owners are incredibly friendly, and all the ingredients, except for the meat, come from their own farm. The food was outstanding – especially the pink-roasted pork chop with chocolate – extremely delicious and incredibly tender. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Nice location, excellent, high-quality food. All local products are expertly prepared by the chef, who often comes out of the kitchen to ensure everything is well-prepared and that guests are satisfied. Family atmosphere, very clean.

100% recommended! The food was divine as well as copious, and service was amazing. I came to this place by pure chance, very disheveled after a hike in the mountains. Non the less I was welcomed very kindly.<br>Huge compliments to everyone!
