Homely atmosphere and courtesy, the best roast stockfish in the area... I read reviews from useless people who EVIDENTLY only want to harm the restaurant, it's a shameful thing and thank goodness their idiocies are instantly recognizable... poor miserable beings

Nice restaurant near Mammola. We tried some appetizers and I must say they were excellent, especially the cod, both battered and in meatballs. For our first course, we had the spaghetti alla famous "Corte D'assise." They were excellent, but after that, we couldn't eat anymore, too full.

Fast and friendly service, great prices, and generous portions.

We'll be back to try the other fried dishes, which looked delicious.

An experience to forget… smelly bread with insects, overcooked pasta, sour sauce and hair, some cutlets were delivered raw and others burnt, frozen chips, almost expired Coca-Cola, questionable dessert… insistent staff, quite nice location, but we found some insects there.

The seafood appetizer: only low-quality cured meats and packaged seafood salad, no cheeses or anything else.
The pasta: tagliatelle with mushrooms... tasteless, and the mushrooms inedible, bought practically raw, frozen, and thrown on the pasta.
The fettuccine with stockfish? The most absolute disgusting dish I could have ever had... I don't know if the stockfish was rotten or taken from putrid water and thrown in the sauce... when the dish arrived, it smelled like sewers, and when stirring the pasta, it smelled like a mix of sewers and horse stables... obviously, we didn't eat... We only paid to avoid controversy...
It's not that I don't recommend it, I'm telling you NEVER to go there!

I went to this restaurant on Ferragosto (August 15th) for lunch with friends and family, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience at all.
We sat down around 1:00 PM, and the first courses arrived around 3:45 PM. I understand it's a holiday and the waits are a bit longer, but waiting almost 3 hours for our dishes is inconceivable!
The girl who served us, unfortunately, wasn't at all polite; she had a very annoyed look, and when we asked her questions, she wouldn't respond politely, in addition to the unprofessional service.
I've been to S. Barbara before, and I can confirm that overall the food is good, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing.

It's unthinkable to wait an hour between courses. It's absurd!

The food is normal, nothing special. You can find stockfish elsewhere.

Unfortunately, we had to leave between the first and second courses because waiting an hour was unthinkable.

Excellent stockfish cooked in a thousand ways, but always with the translation at the forefront. Excellent first courses. Top-notch hospitality. As is the service.
