Il Pilone by Rare confirms itself as one of the most beautiful locations in the area, a very evocative place, and the pizza is no exception. I went there yesterday with my friends and I must say that, despite having three events booked, both the service and the quality of the pizza were truly very good.

We are from the USA and the waitstaff was awesome! The chef came out to help translate for us and get a delicious this crust spicy pizza and Caesar salad. It was recommended by our hotel Altafiumara who also providdd a shuttle for us to and from the restaurant! We only wanted pizza but other plates also looked superb!
Breathtaking place, beautiful view.
We dined here for a business meeting, and the staff was inattentive to our needs. Despite asking several waiters for water and bread, they never complied. Then, when it came to the main course, where three plates of fried fish had been brought to be shared by 13 people, some of the diners didn't get a chance to eat it because it wasn't enough for everyone. Despite the waiters noticing the poor service, they decided to clear the plates, which led to a heated argument that was enough to make you tear your hair out.

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the Strait of Messina, beneath the historic Santa Trada Pillar in Reggio Calabria. Very large and well-organized. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff. Average pizzas. Good prices.
Disappointing experience, disappointing and non-existent service, I will definitely not go back there again
