Friendly staff and good food. However, it was very disappointing to realize once you got home that the price you paid for most of the items didn't match the price listed on the menu when you ordered.

A great place to eat pinza. There are tons of pinza to choose from, including the good ones, and rarely with the n'Duja. The gelato selection is also very spicy, and excellent. They serve it in little boats, and all the gelato is made with natural ingredients. You're spoiled for choice. The outdoor seating is lovely in the summer, and you can reach it by rack railway.

Here, the "pinsa" is renamed "spianata"—after all, we're not in Rome. In any case, it's excellent. And for dessert, the establishment also serves ice cream.

I returned after at least a year, and everything has gotten worse: from the pinsa (smaller, with different dough and overcooked; the menu has also changed) to the service (slower), the €2.50 cover charge for a paper placemat and a set of bagged cutlery, and last but not least: open shutters in the summer, meaning no air conditioning, and, most importantly, swarms of mosquitoes and no mosquito repellent (no mosquito coils, citronella, nothing).

It was a perfect place, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. On the plus side, the beers are good, and the desserts are still the same as they used to be—very good, but I'm afraid it's not enough.

We always come here for breakfast or lunch with my friends from school. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff is always friendly.

We booked at 7:45 PM, and by 8:20 PM we were already out. Not because we were in a hurry to leave, but because we'd been literally massacred by mosquitoes.

We ate in the garden, and more than a dinner, it felt like a survival test: we were constantly scratching ourselves and trying to avoid the mosquitoes. It was a truly impossible situation to manage, and it completely ruined our evening.

The almost surreal thing is that the restaurant has the option of closing the awnings and using the air conditioning. I asked if that was possible, given the obvious mosquito problem, and was told, "There are customers who prefer to be outdoors."

Too bad that, at that moment, it felt less like "outdoors" and more like a mosquito buffet.

I understand that some might prefer to be outdoors, but when conditions get this bad, perhaps it's time to find a solution that allows all customers to enjoy the evening.

Result: reservations at 7:45 PM, and by 8:20 PM we were already out, exhausted by the bites and eager to get home. I'd say 35 minutes is a bit short for a dinner.

A decidedly negative experience, and, as far as I'm concerned, one I won't repeat.

The pastries are very good, very light. The service is always warm; we come back every year when we're in Genoa.

Myself and a friend dined on a Sunday evening in late-July on the first day of our holiday in Genoa. Restaurant is located next to top station of Funicolare Sant'Anna Bertani-Portello.

Pros:
-Covered (open sides) and uncovered outdoor seating.
-Plentiful food and drink options.
-Menu available in English via a QR Code.
-I ate my first-ever pinsa (LA SPIANATA QUATTRO STAGIONI) and drank a bottle of Moretti and mineral water. Delicious food.
-Toilet.

Cons:
-The waitress got my friends food order wrong but this was rectified.
-No WiFi.

We booked twice just to be on the safe side, and they screwed up the reservation.
We asked for two pizzas: one Tyrolean without cheese and one with prosciutto, and we received two Tyrolean pizzas, both with cheese. My wife is extremely intolerant.
They came back with the right pizzas, but they were two round pinsas with very cold tomatoes. I complained, and a pseudo-owner came over and explained that we were the ones making the mistake because we hadn't read the menu.
After ten years as a pizza chef, I'll know a pinsa base and a pizza base very well.
Never going back again.

The pizza is good overall, but it's impossible to stay there because of the heat. Come here only from October to May.

The service is simple but very friendly. The pinsas are always very good. The beer selection isn't extensive, but it's still good quality and interesting.

A well-known spot on the ring road above the town.
Specializing in pinsa.
Good-quality products, the dough is light, crispy, and very digestible. Pizza dough is also available. Try it.
High-quality desserts and gelato.
