A meeting with someone who knows how to translate a place into taste, with precision and style. Thank you.

The place was empty, two people outside, one inside. At the entrance, we were met by a rude and impolite lady who began by saying, "What do you want?" We were sent away with the excuse that the place (deserted) was packed and there was no room.
The welcome was terrible. As for the food, I have no idea. We were turned away at the entrance with arrogance and rudeness.

We've been to this little place several times. We've always appreciated the chef's eccentric charm, topped off with typical Ligurian joviality. But tonight, September 26, 2026, the chef completely overreacted.
We ordered tagliatelle with mushrooms and duck. What did you expect? A bowl full of broth arrived, with tagliatelle and two whole slices of meat. (It's a shame I didn't take a photo.) The chef didn't admit he hadn't explained the dish, saying it was his specialty. He simply took it off the bill, making us look like we know nothing about food. Snobbish and rude.

We arrived at 9:15 AM. I asked the owner for a place for two. There were plenty of tables available, but the chef said there was no room and it was full. This was rude and even arrogant, something I've never seen in any restaurant. When I asked for a table, he laughed, pointing to a pizza delivery van, and suggesting I go order one. When I asked for two bottles of water, he refused to sell it to me with a card payment. Remember, it's 2026, and most people pay by card, but apparently they prefer not to pay taxes. I strongly advise anyone to go to this chef, who has no desire to work and is also rude and boorish. I thank the two gentlemen who paid for my water in cash, since he didn't want to give me that either.

Please remove the reviews, I'll continue to leave them. Rude.

Very nice and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent value for money. A real insider tip. It's tucked away in the village.

The atmosphere was informal yet pleasant, just what you'd expect from a local club. The food was all very good, with generous portions. The chef was helpful and friendly. Recommended.

Informal location in the Bergeggi square... Unusual combinations offer unexpected surprises... High-quality ingredients expertly prepared to enhance their flavor... Arianna in the dining room offers attentive service with polite discretion... Highly recommended... See you soon...
PS. We recommend booking in advance...

to be honest it's a bit pricey, a first course, a starter, mussels for two, a bottle of sparkling water and a still 1/2 litre of house white wine and a dessert €90.00

Had dinner last night, June 18, 2026. I'm on vacation with my husband, and for months I've been relishing the idea of dining at the club. First time in Bergeggi, found it by googling, and was immediately drawn in. Everything was perfect in its imperfection! From the outdoor setting with plastic chairs and wobbly tables, the light sea breeze caressing you, the passerby who stops kindly to chat with her dog... the "overhead projector" that can't be read until the chef explains the menu... otherwise he'd get angry... finally, we ordered two deconstructed eggplants, a slice of meat, pasta with eggs and bottarga, two panna cottas with the chef's coulisse... well, from the goodness... we cleaned the plates and licked our fingers without restraint, hoping no one saw us, hoping the kitchen noticed!! Long live perfection in its imperfection, including the actors of this Bergeggiano circle, from the starred chef Nevio (who I didn't know was a super chef) to the waiter! Hello everyone!

We spontaneously decided to have lunch at Circolo Bergeggino in Bergeggi around noon. There was only one occupied table in the dining room, so we hoped to get a seat without any trouble. When we asked, the waiter was very friendly and immediately checked with the kitchen and the owner. Unfortunately, we were told that lunch wasn't possible and that the restaurant was supposedly full, so we couldn't eat.

The communication was friendly, but the situation wasn't entirely clear to us, as there were still free tables visible. We would have appreciated at least a heads-up or a clearer explanation.

Excellent cuisine by chef Nevio Tonello, a truly original character. Not recommended for those seeking a refined atmosphere or particularly attentive service.
