The quality-price ratio isn't great. The food is edible but not exceptional. The €14 platter isn't very generous, the service is €2.50, and above all, a bottle of still water costs €3. A nice carafe of good local water would have been better. Friendly staff and fast service. The outdoor seating is not very attentive. It's already cold, so they seat people at the closest tables, not far from the door, which obviously opens frequently.
We had lunch for two.<br>Unimpressive dishes, very touristy.
The Varaita Valley ravioli were excellent, although some portions had too much melted butter.<br>The stew was excellent, but the polenta could be better.<br>The portions were a bit small for the price.
We feel sorry for the very nice Brazilian guy who served us but apart from him it was a nightmare lunch... obviously instant polenta, stew that tasted of nothing... maybe the tomato puree that garnished it... no salt... small beer and a medium one, two polenta and stew 41 euros... including 5 for the cover charge... everything was paper except for the cutlery... disaster....
Fast service and good food with good value for money.
Ordinary food and exorbitant prices. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend it. There were four of us, and we asked for a charcuterie and cheese platter to share. There wasn't even a slice each. The ravioli were raw, the gnocchi al valvaraita were good but the portions were small. Two desserts, half a liter of wine on tap (good), and a soft drink... €96 seemed like a steal to me.
First of all, I spent the evening opening and closing the door for the waiter because it was cold, and with all the free space, they made us sit in front of the sliding door.<br>FOOD: THE CUTTING BOARD IS NOT A CUTTING BOARD. They bring us a tiny ceramic plate with two slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of who knows what... with microscopic pieces of cheese... a disgrace for the price of 15 euros.<br>We order two ravioli in white for the kids, a polenta with sausage, and a stew (without any side dish or polenta). Very normal...<br>Then the best part was beautiful: 3 BUNET according to them... Three almost gray puddings, like the Cameo ones, with crumbled amaretto on top... I said they weren't BUNET... but he didn't seem to hear...<br>2 coffees, a still water, a quarter of a red... 105 euros<br>THAT WE ATE FOR, it was absolutely not worth it.<br>I'm truly sorry. I feel like I'm being mocked because if you write "tagliere" it must be a "tagliere" (chopping board), if you write "BUNET" it must be "BUNET"...<br>I'll never set foot in there again... Even if I stay here for a long time.
Absolutely avoid this place! The dishes are small, swimming in oil, and the value for money is truly terrible.
To say it's mediocre is an understatement. I'm sorry to say that in a mountain place where they have few traditional dishes, they're made in a truly ignoble manner. Discount-store ravioli with cream? Are you kidding? Pizzas made on pre-cooked crusts similar to crackers. But the must-try is the polenta, which instead of arriving soft and steaming hot, comes as scraps of polenta with a ladle of sauce on top, in various sausage or stew dishes. Have you ever been to a normal restaurant or mountain hut where the polenta arrives freshly made and topped with at least a generous amount of butter? In restaurants, you have to cook, not assemble. Stay away from this place, and I hate having to write these reviews, but I feel it's my duty.
Nice place, clean and friendly, but maybe they have no idea what the recipe for polenta concia is, delicious sausage, a few more slices of bread wouldn't hurt along with the cutting board
We went to this bar and restaurant last weekend for a plate of polenta: polenta that was clearly instant, with four counted pieces of stew, a bottle of water, and two slices of stale packaged tart, all served on a paper placemat and a dirty table for a total of €53. MOVE ON, a salami sandwich is better.
Very thin pizzas with little toppings, but very expensive. A medium beer served in a small glass costs €6.50. A seat costs €2.50. In short, a very poor quality-to-price ratio and a poor value.
A €2.50 service charge per person is indicated in very small print at the bottom of the menu, clearly designed to catch you. The pizza is mediocre; there are paninis for €5 next door. Don't be fooled by the €6.50 Margherita.
Mediocre pizza and a service charge of €2.50 per person (indicated in very small print on the menu).
Very good food and friendly staff.
A beautiful place and a bathroom worth a photo, it's so elegant and well-kept. The only thing to note is that the €2.50 cover charge for pizza isn't fair. Normally, restaurants charge €2, which is already expensive, but bread is included in the cover charge! Eating pizza is taking advantage of a markup, which is abusive. Nowadays, everyone can impose what they want, and there are no checks by the authorities.
